Java Technical Lead Summary
Optaros is currently looking for a Java Technical Lead with 4 – 6 years experience to join our Client Delivery team. The goal of this team is to provide high-performance, high-availability applications to our global clients. Optaros will provide training on our clients and specific technologies. Primary Role Responsibilities
- Analyze client business needs and recommend innovative solutions that leverage technology to provide market differentiation, efficiency improvements, and better user experiences.
- Collaborate with an international team of Project Managers and Architects to understand client needs and communicate project progress
Facilitate client communication and maintain project timeline and goals for the development team
- Write great code! Independently determine the best approach to solving complex business problems with technology
- Lead a team of 2 – 5 developers on enterprise Java projects for international clients
- Mentor more junior staff members and be a role model for best practices in technical development.
Role Requirements
- 4 - 6 years of technical development experience
- Strong knowledge of Java (Spring, Hibernate, GWT or similar), Oracle and MySQL is required
- Knowledge of any additional languages, such as PHP, Python, JavaScript, etc. is a plus
Experience with Linux operating systems is a plus
- Previous team leadership experience is a significant plus
- Extensive experience with debugging, reuse, source code management strategies (e.g. forking, branching), and release management
Solid knowledge of system administration and software and hardware configuration; ability to make informed recommendations to customer IT staff; ability to troubleshoot pre- and post-production implementations; security; load balancing and performance
- Excellent time management and strong multi-tasking skills
- Must be fluent in English and Romanian, written and verbal communications
